Day 07.- Tuesday: Visit of Naples and Pompeii
(Breakfast + Lunch + Overnight)
We'll leave the Italian capital and cross Rome’s fertile landscape and the area of the castles called Castelli Romani. Montecassino is one of the little towns of the region, where the Battle of Monte Cassino took place during World War II.
Upon arrival in the UNESCO-listed Naples, relax while you enjoy a brief panoramic tour of Italy’s third-largest city, its striking palaces, churches and landmarks. After a stop to take great photos, leave Naples behind and cross the fertile Vesuvius valley until you reach Pompeii.
As soon as you arrive, you will stop to have lunch at a restaurant. The menu consists of a pizza (margarita, neapolitan or a ham pizza), a mixed salad, a dessert and a drink (to choose from between water, a glass of wine, a beer or a soft drink).
In the afternoon, enjoy a 2-hour guided tour of the ancient city. Follow your guide through the ghostly streets of Pompeii, buried under tons of volcanic ash when Mont Vesuvius erupted in A.D. 79, killing 2,000 inhabitants. The town was discovered 1,700 years later and now is a remarkably well-preserved archaeological site, where you’ll get a real sense of how life was in an ancient Roman colony.
At the end of your tour, you’ll hop back on the coach and head back to Rome where you'll be dropped off in the city centre at around 8:30 pm. Overnight stay in Rome.

If you are looking for a tasteful journey, Umbria is a region of ancient culinary traditions which are often maintained, sometimes revisited: a combination of flavours, colours and smells to be discovered.
If you are a lover of nature and open spaces, Umbria is rich in parks and areas of natural interest, suitable for tours characterised by discovery and adventure: with centuries-old beech woods, deep caves, and mountains steeped in ancient legends.
This region is made even more charming by the flourishing Mediterranean vegetation that alternates with its small, charming towns that narrate the history and traditions of Campania and make any stay here unforgettable.
And how can we forget the natural endowments that dominate this region: Vesuvius, gloomy and mysterious, loved for its beauty and feared for its power. Then, Naples, famous around the world for the intensity and passion of its music, but not only, mingles high-brow culture with the popular, the sacred with the profane, and the joyful with the melancholic.
Visiting places like Paestum; Pompeii, Herculaneum, and Torre Annunziata; the Chartreuse of Padula; and the Royal Palace of Caserta will all take you back in time and far away from the quotidian!
To plunge into history the perfect destination in Lazio is first of all Rome, with a history covering 28 centuries, one-of-a-kind treasures and views and a charm impossible to resist, Rome is a constant surprise, a key stage of every Italian “Grand tour”.
Moreover, all over the region there are important archaeological sites and places of cultural interest such as: Ostia Antica, Pontine Islands, Roman Castles, Civita di Bagnoregio and Tarquinia.
