Day 01.- Saturday: Arrival at the airport of Bologna – Visit of San Marino and Gradara
Arrival at the airport of Bologna and departure to the oldest Republic in the world: San Marino. Free visit of the wonderful state, at the top of its three symbolic towers visitors can enjoy a truly incredible view, a truly strategic position that has made good fortune of this small state and makes it a favorite destination for thousands of tourists in every season of the year. The historic center of the Republic of San Marino is characterized by the continuous ups and downs of its streets, between small streets and ancient buildings. Do not miss Piazza della Libertà, where the Palazzo Pubblico or Government Palace stands, a late 19th century neo-Gothic building with characteristic battlements. Departure to Gradara and free visit of the wonderful Gradara fortress, was the setting for the love story between Paolo and Francesca (Castle ticket not included). Arrival at the hotel in the area of Senigallia and overnight.
Day 02.- Sunday: Visit of Urbino, Urbania and Acqualagna with truffle tasting
(Breakfast + Overnight)
Breakfast at the hotel and departure to Urbino. Guided tour of the historic centre, cradle of the early Italian Renaissance, with entrance to the Cathedral and to the house of Raphael (purchased by the humanist father Giovanni Santi, poet and painter at the court of the Montefeltro). Raphael was born here in 1483. It is a modest residence that houses a small fresco attributed to the young Raphael: it is the "Madonna di Casa Santi" intent on reading. Continuation with the visit of the Ducal Palace, which houses the National Gallery of the Marche, where indisputable works are exhibited such as the "Portrait of a gentlewoman" called "la Muta" (Raphael), the "Flagellation" and the "Madonna di Senigallia" (Piero della Francesca), the "ideal city" (previously attributed to L. Laurana), paintings and sculptures from the XII to the XVIII century and the Duke's studio, the most intimate setting of the Palace commissioned by Federico di Montefeltro. It is a unique masterpiece of wood inlays. Free lunch and departure to Urbania, a village immersed in the wonderful landscapes of Montefeltro area and famous for decorated ceramics. Departure to Acqualagna, home of the Marche truffle. Rich tasting and explanation of delicious types of truffles, famous all over the world, of typical Marche products, DOC and DOCG wines. Return to the hotel and overnight stay.
Day 03.- Monday: Visit of Jesi, Ancona and Portonovo

Breakfast at the hotel and departure for the historic centre of Jesi, which is enclosed within a sturdy city wall, among the best preserved in the entire region. It measures 1.5 km and embraces an architectural complex that harmoniously integrates buildings from different eras. The whole historic centre is made up of churches, palaces and squares, with alleys and cobbled streets. Walking through its alleys is like traveling back in time… There are at least seven original doors. Departure to Ancona, visit of the city and its churches and monuments such as the Cathedral of San Ciriaco, Piazza del Plebiscito, the Arch of Trajan. Rich tasting of DOP and DOCG wines and typical products in one of the best wine cellars of Rosso Conero. In the afternoon, departure to Portonovo, the green bay of the Conero Riviera, to visit the Romanesque church of Santa Maria built between 1034 and 1048. Arrival at the hotel near Loreto and overnight stay.
Day 04.- Tuesday: Visit of Loreto and Macerata

Breakfast at the hotel and departure for the visit of the Sanctuary of Loreto. The Lauretan Sanctuary was built in the place where, according to legend, the abode of the Virgin Mary was transported by the Angels on the night between 9 and 10 December 1294. It dates back to the 4th century, and it is the destination of continuous pilgrimages and it is considered the Italian "Lourdes”. The belief of this miraculous "flying" transportation leads Pope Benedict XV to appoint the Blessed Virgin of Loreto "Patroness of all aeronautics". Free lunch and departure for the visit of Macerata with an official guide. The visit starts from the city centre, which is Piazza della Libertà, overlooked by public and monumental buildings: the Municipal Palace, the Merchants' Lodge, the Palace of the Prefecture, the Church of San Paolo, the Clock Tower and the Lauro Rossi Theatre. On the northern side of the square dominates the Palace of the Prefecture, a large and austere brick building, the ancient residence of the papal legates. The symbolic monument of Macerata is the Sferisterio arena, one of the most significant works of late European Neoclassicism. The structure, harmonious and majestic, guarantees perfect visibility and excellent acoustics. Arrival at the hotel and overnight stay.
Day 05.- Wednesday: Visit of Ascoli Piceno with Olive Ascolane tasting and visit of Offida

Breakfast at the hotel and guided tour of the historic centre of Ascoli Piceno, its splendid squares, Piazza del Popolo and Piazza Arringo, and its monuments such as the Merchants' Lodge, the Palazzo dei Capitani, the Cathedral. Stop at the Meletti coffee to taste the famous “Anisetta” of Ascoli. Rich tasting of Olive Ascolane. In the afternoon departure to Offida, famous for the ancient tradition of bobbin lace. Visit of the museum and the historic centre. Free time available. Return to the hotel and overnight stay.
Day 06.- Thursday: Visit of Assisi and Siena – arrival in Florence
(Breakfast + Overnight)
Breakfast and departure to Assisi, city of Etruscan origin and homeland of Saint Francis, where we will visit the important Basilica of S. Francis, the Cathedral, the Town Hall Square and the Monastery of Saint Clare. Then we will visit Siena, an Italian jewel and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Siena is famous for its medieval urban landscape and “Il Palio di Siena”, the traditional medieval horse race that takes place twice a year in Piazza del Campo, the heart of the city, one of the most notable squares in Italy. Arrival at the hotel and overnight stay.
Day 07.- Friday: Guided tour of Florence and departure to the surrounding area of Venice

Breakfast and departure to the city centre of Florence for a guided tour of its most representative monuments: the Cathedral of Saint Mary of the Flower, expression and distinctive symbol of the artistic genius of the greatest Tuscan architects; Giotto's Campanile; Florence Baptistery, dedicated to the patron saint of the city and one of the oldest and most beautiful Romanesque buildings in Tuscany (Entrance ticket is not included); Piazza Santa Croce, with its wonderful Franciscan church which inside has funeral monuments of famous Italian characters; Piazza della Signoria, the heart of the history of the Florentine Republic which still preserves the character of the political centre of the city. In this square is the “Palazzo Vecchio”, in the past seat of the ancient power of the Grand Duchy. In front of the palace, there is the famous "David di Michelangelo" symbol of the virtues of Florence. Then, we will visit the Ponte Vecchio, famous for its incredible jewellery shops and for its wonderful view of the river Arno; the Loggia del Porcellino, built to house a typical street market and still active today. It is called “del porcellino” due to the presence of a sculpture that represents a bronze “wild boar” that is said to give good luck to touch its nose. We will finish the visit in Piazza della Repubblica, the area where it was the ancient "forum" of the Roman city of Florence. Currently there are some elegant historical cafes of Florence. Free time in Florence and then transfer to the surrounding area of Venice and overnight stay.
Day 08.- Saturday: Guided tour of Venice

Breakfast at the hotel and departure with the bus to the port for the transfer by boat to St Mark's Square. Venice is a unique city in the world. We will start our visit with an official guide of the historic centre (all external visits). The meeting point with the guide is the column of the Winged Lion in Piazza San Marco, the most important square in Venice. We will start the visit admiring the great Doge's Palace, seat of the Government of the old Venetian Republic, as well as the Palace of Justice and official residence of the Doge. It is the maximum expression of Gothic-Venetian architecture. We will arrive at the Bridge of Sighs, one of the most famous bridges in the world, and then time to enjoy St. Mark’s Square, the square par excellence where we can admire the splendid St. Mark’s Basilica, since 1807 Venice Cathedral in which inside are the remains of the city's Patron Saint. We will gape at the Bell Tower, the tallest building in the city, and we will pass in front of the famous Florián Café, open since 1720 and considered the oldest in the world. We will continue our visit to the Rialto Bridge, the oldest in the city with a beautiful view of the Canal grande, and we will finish our visit in St Mark's Square. Free time. If you wish, take part in a gondola ride (not included) through the typical Venetian canals. Return by private boat at 18.00 pm and departure with the bus to the hotel and overnight stay.
Day 09.- Sunday: Chianti Valley with visit to a wine estate and tasting of wines and local products (Tuscany)

After breakfast departure to the Chianti Valley. This mountainous landscape, mixed together with olive groves, cypresses, vineyards and palaces, never fail to impress. You will experience the harmony of colours with your eyes, that only the hill in this region has to offer. Visit to a country estate with its vineyards and its cellars with the tasting of wines and local products. Arrival in Rome. End of our services.
